FATAL ALTERCATION OUTSIDE NIGHTCLUB IN SALADOBLANCO LEADS TO ONE DEATH AND LEAVES ANOTHER CRITICALLY INJURED

What began as an evening of music, social gathering, and dancing inside a commercial nightclub in the rural settlement of Gramalote, located in the municipality of Saladoblanco, Huila, Colombia, escalated into a grave violent dispute during the late hours of Saturday night. The incident resulted in the death of local resident Rómulo Buitrago Rojas and left another individual severely wounded, prompting municipal officials to take swift regulatory action against the commercial venue.

According to preliminary operational reports gathered by local law enforcement officers, the disturbance initiated around 11:50 p.m. inside the Invictus establishment. Multiple individuals became engaged in a physical altercation involving edged and blunt weapons. Digital recordings captured by bystanders show moments of intense tension, physical pushing, and physical aggression among several patrons prior to the situation moving outdoors.

The confrontation deteriorated further as several participants spilled out onto the public roadway outside the venue. During the chaos, multiple gunshots were discharged. Rómulo Buitrago Rojas sustained severe gunshot wounds amidst the confusion and received immediate first aid before being rushed to the E. S. E. Hospital Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes. Due to the critical nature of his injuries, attending medical personnel arranged his urgent transfer to the Hospital Departamental San Antonio de Pitalito, where doctors confirmed he arrived without vital signs.

A second citizen, identified as César Gómez, suffered substantial injuries during the brawl. Medical administrators reported that he remains under medical care in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Departamental San Antonio de Pitalito with a reserved medical prognosis. Criminal investigation units dispatched to the scene conducted initial site inspections and evidence collection to clarify the exact sequence of events and identify the responsible parties.

In late June of this year, a 24-year-old individual named Jefferson Ramos Méndez also lost his life to gunshot wounds at the same location.
