MEXICAN ARMY SEIZES CLANDESTINE WORKSHOP MANUFACTURING ARMORED VEHICLES IN GUASAVE, SINALOA

Personnel from the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA) located and seized a property adapted as an illegal workshop for modifying vehicles in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa. The military operation took place on Wednesday, September 23, during routine safety patrols conducted by armed forces in local rural communities.

According to official reports from the military deployment, troops observed several luxury pickup trucks parked outside the premises. Upon conducting a routine inspection of the facility, military personnel discovered multiple vehicles undergoing modification and fitted with improvised handmade armor inside the property.

During the search of the clandestine facility, military personnel secured several units and specialized machinery. Authorities reported the seizure of the following items:

• One black "monster-type" truck equipped with custom handmade armor.
• One "monster-type" truck currently in the manufacturing and modification process.
• One recent-model white Ford Lobo pickup truck.
• One recent-model black GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Following the discovery, military troops secured the perimeter and placed all seized vehicles and materials at the disposal of federal authorities to initiate the corresponding legal proceedings and integrate the findings into an official investigation file. The property itself remains under federal guard while investigations continue.
