Following months of detailed intelligence work, law enforcement officers from the Metropolitan Police executed targeted operations to intervene in several multi-day gatherings, locally known as "narcofiestas," held across Pereira, Dosquebradas, and La Virginia in the department of Risaralda, Colombia.
A key intervention occurred in the rural area of Filo Bonito, within the jurisdiction of Dosquebradas, where officers raided a rented property being used for a large private event. During the procedure, authorities identified at least 50 individuals repeatedly consuming illicit substances. Four adults were arrested, while four minors were brought under specialized institutional protection routes, including two cases where specific child protection protocols were activated due to potential vulnerability.
During the searches, security forces seized items including:
- Two firearms
- Synthetic drugs (amphetamines)
- Opioids
Investigators are currently focusing on determining whether these venues were used to exploit minors for illegal acts, including potential sexual exploitation. Furthermore, law enforcement agencies are analyzing the organizational and financial background of these events to verify possible ties to the criminal organization known as "La Cordillera" and potential international operational connections extending to Panama.
