Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the new Tesla Roadster equipped with SpaceX rocket technology, demonstrating sub-second acceleration from 0 to 60 mph and aerial maneuvering capabilities over obstacles during a live presentation.

Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk officially unveiled the latest iteration of the Tesla Roadster during a public demonstration on Thursday. The electric sports car features advanced propulsion mechanisms developed in coordination with technology from SpaceX, enabling short-duration airborne lifts and unprecedented acceleration metrics.

During the live unveiling, the vehicle demonstrated an acceleration rate of 0 to 60 miles per hour in 0.81 seconds. According to specifications released by Tesla, the sports car is designed to navigate steep inclines inaccessible to conventional vehicles and utilizes integrated cold-gas propulsion thrusters to hover, execute mid-air rotations, and clear ground obstacles.

During the presentation, the prototype successfully executed a mid-air turn while jumping over multiple stationary automobiles and a Tesla Semi truck.

Tesla announced key technical parameters for the upcoming vehicle, confirming a top speed exceeding 370 kilometers per hour (230 mph) and an estimated operational range of more than 480 kilometers (300 miles) per full charge under standard operating conditions.

Commercial production for the high-performance electric vehicle is scheduled to commence in 2028, following further engineering tests and regulatory reviews regarding its specialized thruster systems.
