The Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León has opened an investigation into a violent event in Montemorelos that left five family members dead.

Authorities in Nuevo León are investigating a multiple homicide and suicide that occurred in the municipality of Montemorelos, leaving five people dead, including three minors. The main line of investigation pursued by the Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León indicates that Cinthya Abigail Tamez, aged 33, fatally shot her partner, Leodegario Moya, aged 29, and two of her minor children inside their residence, before killing her youngest child and taking her own life inside a vehicle.

The events were reported in the Los Fresnos neighborhood, located in the La Carlota sector of Montemorelos. Emergency response teams and law enforcement forces arrived at the scene, where they discovered a red Jeep vehicle with the engine still running. Inside the vehicle, officers located the body of Cinthya Tamez with a gunshot wound and holding a firearm, alongside her two-year-old son, who also suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

Following the initial discovery, security forces inspected a nearby home located approximately 300 meters from the vehicle in the Los Nogales sector. Inside the property, investigators found the bodies of Leodegario Moya and two additional minor children, all presenting gunshot injuries. According to testimony provided by local residents to investigative authorities, loud music and a heated argument between the couple were heard during the early hours of the morning prior to the incident. Neighbors also reported seeing Tamez leave the house during the morning accompanied by her youngest child.

Prior to the event, social media posts made by Tamez on the TikTok platform containing threatening messages were documented as part of the case background. Investigators from the Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León secured both the residential property and the vehicle to collect forensic evidence, perform ballistic analyses, and determine the precise circumstances surrounding the case.
